Fall Ball

PGSL Fall Ball is a great way for players to continue to grow their softball skills and have fun playing this great game. We offer both Rec and Travel options.

Recreational Ball:

This is a recreational offering for players ages 7-14 to continue to develop solid fundamentals and keep their skills sharp in a less intense environment in terms of schedule and level of competition. The the goal of fall Rec Ball is 100% on fundamentals / player development with an emphasis learning new positions and getting lots of reps. Similar to spring, teams are are formed via a formal draft. Practices will start in mid-August with Sunday double headers from Sunday September 7 and through November 9th with formal playoffs and a championship game. Fall recreation fees are $250 and must be paid by all registrants, Rec or Travel Ball.

Travel Ball:

This is a competitive program offering requiring interested player 9 and up to try out for Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10AM. Fall Travel Ball is provides players seeking a tournament level experience the opportunity to practice and play at a more advanced level than a typical recreational offering. Our fall Sirens Travel Teams will have have a heavy practice schedule and expose participants to a more competitive level of softball. If a player receives an offer and accepts, they will be admitted to the Travel team at which time, they will be charged an incremental $350 to cover the tournament and related costs for the season.

**Players must be able to attend the tryout on 8/16/25 at 10AM to be considered for a Travel team. There are no make up dates.**

Ages

The following programs are available for registration based on a player's age as of the most recently passed September 1st.

8U - Ages 7-8

10U - Ages 9-10

12U - Ages 11-12

14U - Ages 13-14

16U - Ages 15-16

When

Season begins with tryouts in mid-August 2025 and runs until early November (December for Travel Teams)

Where

Practices will be in Pacifica and Cabrillo or Ingrid B. Lacy fields. Tournaments will be in the East Bay, South Bay, and potentially Sacramento.

Practices

Teams practice 2-3 times per week.

Number of Games

Rec teams will play between 12 and 16 games and Travel Teams will play between 20-30 games per season.

Play Time

On Rec teams, play time is distributed equally with a focus on player development while for Travel teams, play time is earned based on skill, attitude, attendence, focus, performance, etc. All of these can change on a week by week basis.

Play Format

Rec games are double headers on Sundays and Travel games are over the entire weekend in which a tournament is played.

Jerseys

Jerseys, belt, socks, and visor (12U and up) are included in the registration fee.

Costs

There is a base cost of $250 for all registrants ages 7-14. For those that are tryout and make a Travel team, a formal offer will be sent and an additional $350 will be charged upon acceptance of the offer to cover tournament fees and related costs. . .
